Edwin Moure Negron

Edwin Moure Negrón is a Customer Program Manager with Boeing Global Services responsible for implementing training requirements of airline customers in North America, Latin America, Africa and the Caribbean. He most recently completed 18 months in Boeing’s Enterprise Auditor Leadership Development Program, with an expected graduation date of Summer 2018. Edwin is a graduate of Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico where he obtained a Bachelor’s of Science in Industrial Engineer. While completing his degree, Edwin worked as a Manager in the retail industry, dedicated to Sales and Marketing from 1994-2006. In 2007 he moved from Miami to Everett, WA to begin his career at Boeing as an Industrial Engineer for the 787 Program in Final Assembly supporting Fuji Heavy Industries and Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Boeing’s Japanese partners. Between 2008-2012 he worked as an Expat in Grottaglie Italy serving as Supplier Program Manager for the 787 Program. In 2012 Edwin made the move to Charleston, SC and took on the role of Operations Manager in the 787 Final Assembly responsible for the Horizontal Stabilizer, Vertical Stabilizer and the Pre-Join Assembly for the sections 47/48 & Tail Cone. In 2014 he returned to his role as an Industrial Engineer, where he supported the Landing Gear Installation, Center Tank Seal Team and Faring’s installation on the 787 Final Assembly. In March 2016 he began his tenure as Enterprise Auditor where he had the opportunity to Audit multiple Boeing locations across the US all while attending Charleston Southern University in pursuit of a Master’s of Science in Organizational Management which he completed in May 2017.
Edwin’s love for travel and passion for STEM have led him to pursue many different roles both within Boeing and outside in the community. During his time in the Puget Sound area of Washington, Edwin was actively involved with one of Boeing’s Employee Resource Groups, Boeing Hispanic Employee Network (BHEN) and the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers Puget Sound Professional Chapter. During this period he had the opportunity to participate and lead various community outreach and STEM focused events. Edwin’s passion for Diversity and Inclusion led him to create partnerships with multiple organizations such as ALPFA, NSHMBA and NSBE and encourage cross collaboration. In 2015 Edwin was selected President of the ERG BHEN in Charleston, South Carolina and in 2016 founded the SHPE South Carolina Professional Chapter where he served as President until June 2017. Edwin focused on improving collaboration between his local BHEN and SHPE Chapters in an effort to enhance outreach in the local South Carolina community. Together they hosted over 70 events dedicated to Community Outreach, Development, Networking and STEM including “Noche de Ciencias” (Night of Sciences) and participating in the local Latin American Festival. Through these events, hundreds of children were exposed to STEM activities, educated about university options and scholarships, and encouraged to pursue STEM careers. Edwin is also an active participant in external diversity hiring events both as a volunteer and speaker, as he shares best practices related to diversity, equity, and inclusion from a global perspective. Edwin’s involvement in outreach programs and hiring events within diverse communities has helped increase awareness of Boeing as a diversity champion. In 2016 Edwin received the “Individual Diversity & Inclusion Champion, Collaborative Leader Award”. He currently serves in a volunteer capacity as Regional Vice President for the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers supporting Region 7 including; North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida and encompassing over 2,500 members.
